Cancelled Fantasy Peacock Feather Bracelet

Description:
Encircle your wrist with the regal spirit of the peacock. This stunning cuff bracelet features several centered rivolis and a stem of crystals, rhinestones, and crystal pearls, which are wholly surrounded by luxurious textured fringe, and finished with a hidden snap clasp.
Students will Learn:
We will focus on creating a bead embroidered piece with fringe that goes ‘off the edges’. Techniques include a peyote stitch bezel, brick stitch edging, and a hidden clasp.
Prerequisites:
Working knowledge of peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, E6000 adhesive, Fireline 8 lb. test, scissors, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
Crystal rivolis, pearls, bicones, round beads; Japanese bugle beads; Toho Demi Round beads; Japanese 11/0, 15/0 seed bead mix; hand-dyed Lacy's Stiff Stuff beading foundation; Ultrasuede; rhinestone bead, rondelles, bead cap(s); daisy spacer beads, snap clasp, full-color instructions.

 


Cancelled Crystal Scarab Earrings

Description:
Students will learn the secrets of crystallizing and working with natural beetle wings as they craft these opulent earrings. A cascade of crystal and jewel embellished beetle wings drop gracefully from post-backed bead embroidered medallions featuring Swarovski scarabs at their center.
Students will Learn:
How to crystallize natural beetle wings (and make them stick), and craft a peyote bezel for an unusual-shaped object. Techniques of basic bead embroidery, brick stitch edging, chain-linking, and wrapped wire loops will also be used.
Prerequisites:
Experience with peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.

#11 beading needles, beading mat, E6000 adhesive, Fireline 6 lb. test, scissors, task lamp, Crystal Katana or Tanto.
Pliers:
Chainnose without grooves, flush side-cutting, roundnose.

Beetle Wing Broad Collar

Description:
Adventurous students will seamlessly blend crystal-encrusted bead embroidery with delicate hand-drilled beetle wings, in an extravagant piece worthy of royalty. The lustrous metallic green of the wings steals the show, and is mirrored in the Swarovski crystal, with hints of Amethyst peeking through.
Students will Learn:
The main focus of this workshop will be combining bead embroidery and natural double-drilled beetle wings into a flexible broad collar that will be sized to fit. Techniques of peyote stitch bezels, brick stitch edging, and wrapped wire loop techniques will also be used.
Prerequisites:
Proficient with peyote stitch, wrapped wire loops, basic bead embroidery.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.

#11 beading needles, beading mat, E6000 adhesive, Fireline 6 lb. test, Fireline 8 lb. test, reading glasses, ruler, scissors, task lamp, compass.

Description:
Clusters of crystal bicones explode from a rivoli centerpiece nestled within a beaded bezel, creating an opulent cocktail ring that is a real stunner.
Students will Learn:
The main focus will be on the bead embroidery top, peyote stitch bezel, fringing, and brick stitch edging. The flat, peyote stitch band and its attachment will also be discussed and demonstrated.
Prerequisites:
Peyote stitch experience is helpful, but not required.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
